iPhone Medicine Software Results

Well the people's votes have been tallied.

UpToDate is the most requested product to run on the iPhone without an internet connection.

ePocrates Essentials and Skyscape Titles are almost tied for second.

ePrescribing seems more desired than access to the office EHR.

Consumer based applications did not engender as much interest.

We'll pass the news along.

Please send us ideas for additional surveys.

Thank for participating. SV

iPhone Medical Survey # 3

Let us know how important the following would be towards the purchase of the new iPhone or iPod Touch.

Access to:

ePocrates Essentials
ePocrates Essentials Deluxe
Skyscape Titles
Unbound Medicine Titles
UpToDate

EHR compatibility
PHR compatiblity
e-Prescribing
Keyboard (actual not virtual)
Blood pressure machine interface
Glucometer interface
Portable Medical record (consumer version)

iPhone Medical Survey # 2 results

Will the SDK release make an iPhone purchase more likely?

By a ratio of 4 to 2 to 1: our respondents said that they were waiting for ePocrates compared to Skyscape and Unbound Medicine. The addition of 3G speeds was as important as access to Skyscape to titles.

EHR compatibility and e-Prescribing were surprising not very important. SV

Web 2.0 vs Onboard Software Survey/Petition

Let us congratulate Unbound Medicine for being the first to provide us with medical reference titles for the iPhone.
There is,however, concern among medical professionals that only Unbound Medicine has made the leap to provide Web 2.0 titles for the iPhone.
Let us know if the lack of Web 2.0 options or the lack of ability to load software directly on the iPhone is affecting your decision to make a purchase.
Also, let us know which titles, if made available would clinch the sale.

Add your name and comments here and we will add your voice to others and send your opinions to Apple, Epocrates, Skyscape and others. SV
